  • Wu Linkun, male, Ph.D., doctoral supervisor, professor, Fujian Provincial High-Level Talent. He has received numerous honors and awards, including the First Prize of Fujian Science and Technology Progress Award, the Third Prize in the 5th National College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition, the First Prize in the 5th Fujian Provincial College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition, Fujian Provincial Excellent Doctoral Dissertation, Fujian Provincial Excellent Individual for Summer Social Practice. From December 2016 to January 2018, he was a state-sponsored visiting scholar at Charles Sturt University, Australia.

    He is currently employed in the Department of Ecology, College of Life Sciences, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. He teaches undergraduate courses including Ecology (bilingual), Ecology, and Ecological Comprehensive Experiment II, and participates in teaching doctoral and master's courses such as Modern Ecological Methods and Technology and Plant EcologyHis main teaching and research focus on: the formation mechanisms and biocontrol strategies of consecutive monoculture problems in medicinal plants; ecological resource utilization of Chinese medicinal materials and bionic healthy cultivation; soil microecology and plant health; assembly and function of the plant microbiome; and agricultural ecology and eco-agriculture.

    He has co-authored two Chinese textbooks and one Chinese and one English monograph. He has presided over three National Natural Science Foundation of China projects (two general programs, one youth fund), two Fujian Provincial Natural Science Foundation general programs, one university-level outstanding youth fund project. He has published over 70 related academic papers, with more than 20 as first author (including co-first) or corresponding author in domestic and international journals such as Plant DiseasePhytopathologyFrontiers in MicrobiologyApplied Soil EcologyActa Agronomica SinicaChinese Journal of Applied EcologyChinese Journal of Plant Ecology, including 18 SCI-indexed papers. He holds 14 authorized national patents (eight as first inventor). He has been invited to present and has won awards at numerous domestic and international academic conferences. He has guided students to achieve honors such as the National First Prize in China Undergraduate Life Science Contest (CULSC).

    He serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member for journals including iMetaScience of Traditional Chinese MedicineCrop HealthTechnology in AgronomyChinese Journal of Applied Ecology, and Chinese Journal of Soil Science, and as a Guest Editor for special topics in journals like Frontiers in Plant Science. He was recognized as an Outstanding Youth Editorial Board Member for Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology in both 2024 and 2025. He also serves as a reviewer for many prestigious domestic and international academic journals, such as iMetaAgriculture, Ecosystems & EnvironmentPlant and SoilIndustrial Crops and ProductsHorticulture ResearchActa Ecologica Sinica, and Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology.

  • Research Fields

    Most recently, my research has focused on the study of the mechanism of medicinal plant replant disease (soil sickness, consecutive monoculture problem) and its biocontrol strategy, with an emphasis on plant-soil feedback, rhizosphere ecology and ecological cultivation of medicinal materials.
